I'm happy!!
Sandra Bullock, this dress is probably totally WRONG, and too campy but I still think its fun and she looked good in it. Kind of has that Jayne Mansfield mermain hem. Too much mystic tan, but the reddish hair actually looked better on the TV camera then the still camera.
Uma Oprah What? Its like a turkish costume she's wearing in an Ivory Merchant movie. The Golden Bowl Strikes back?
Can we say Mystic Tan? I liked it, very Marilyn Monroe sings to JFK meets Harlow but I didn't like the gothic eyes and the pale lipstick. It was too pale for the orangey tan.
The Princess who seems to have such a good heart and deserve so much. When I see Renee for some reason all the compliments Colin pays her, about her down to earth nature, and her positive attitude plays in my head. This dress was to be said inspired by the 50's designer Norell (Marilyn Monroe was a Norell fan) So it was like an omage to her more curvy post Bridget figure (although I'd say she's alredy dropped weight and Edge of Reason like wrapped less then 2 weeks ago) I thought she was such a Princess. Although I wanted her to win the last two years, and esp. for Bridget so she would have to praise Colin. hee hee This dress was almost a white version of the hot pink Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend MM dress esp. with the big bow in the back.
One more Bridget note, on ABC's pre show they just started interviewing her about Edge of Reason and they cute away to a commercial. Arrgghhh...
Nice to see ODB briefly during the nomination for Best Costume leaning against a window in GWAPE, flashing the dimples. Ahhhh.....
Brief other fashion thoughts: Nicole Kidman - I didn't like the way she hung out of that dress from the side, although in still pictures it looks nice. Beautiful color.
Holly Hunter: that woman should always wear sleeveless dresses unlike Justin's Mother.
Diane Lane: she can do no wrong in my eyes. She can wear sweats I don't care. But I could have sworn she wore that white dress with the rhinestone or diamonds cut out, on the cover of Town and Country.
Angelina Jolie: she's just keeps getting more and more beautiful since she's ditched Billy Bob. I liked her dress, but she could only have pulled that one off with the bod. She to me is more beautiful then Charlize.
Scarlett Johansen. I like this vintage classic Hollywood glamour she has going. But she was so MM glorious at the BAFTAs, the green dress wasn't working it as much for me.
Julia Roberts: It was like she was all one color. I liked the dress, but the loose Farrah hair, eh?
I would have like to see Johnny Depp win, cause it would have just been fun! I'm sure Sean Penn deserves his award, but Johnny's performance was just so joyous and fun. Sigh...
But my friends...please vote on who you thought was best dressed female. Don't let me influence you, let's see who you liked best.
