Are you an absolute idiot? What on earth possessed you to go public like that? There's nothing in the rules that says a bloke can't keep another on the side, as long as you play the game Honestly! You should have just married the tart, knocked her up to get both families off your back and then you two could have had your amorous affairs (physical and emotional, I suppose) with whomever you like and as long as you were discreet, because once there was a confirmed heir, no one would give a damn.

Certainly, no one with any kind of decent moral reputation will want to hire you now, and I doubt the Ministry would look too kindly upon you, even with decent NEWTs
