After the talk with Kazuha and Haibara that day, Conan had ended up with a lot on his mind. So even while he laid still, eyes closed, he was quite awake as his thoughts ran a mile a minute.

He wondered if that was a blessing or not when he heard Kazuha speak in the dead of the night. He wasn't even sure how he managed to keep completely still at that brief sentence. Did she....did she really suspect that? Sure, it was reasonable she thought he was a weird child, but for her to come to that conclusion...

Even when he heard the snort, he didn't relax. Unlike with Ran, there was no way to safely dispel the suspicions here. If Kazuha kept that thought in her mind and kept pondering it, how long would it take before she started to think it the truth? She didn't know a lot about Shinichi, so she could never find 'definite' proof. At least, until something like that weekend happened again.

All it would take was for her to jokingly ask in an instance like that...

He was going to have to be careful from now on. He had to keep the deal with Kazuha, but he absolutely could not let her figure it out.

If it makes her feel better, he thinks she's a good big sister type.

He just doesn't want to have someone being all big sister at him.
