Essay Number One, and it is Maka! Anyone who hasn't requested this can still do so, I'm just starting ASAP so I don't get a backlog.
Soooo here we go.
♦ First Meeting: FLYING BOOKS in the library, though Kazuha was mainly focused on HNGH STUPID DIVEBOMBING LITERATURE than... actually getting around to Maka herself. They didn't even exchange names until they met up again, which is when there were a bunch of pretty colored fireflies hanging out and they were outside admiring them. At that time, Kazuha only saw Maka as a... nice enough girl who initially gave her a scare with her "partner" talk until she cleared that up and who-- really liked books!
♦ Best Moment(s): Proooobably meeting up at night to check out the constellations (which I totally flaked out on tagging at some point sob I'm sorry Duski), or the memory thread! The stargazing because it gave them both a chance to relax after the hectic days of dealing with... well, boys, for the most part, and the island's quiet and peaceful and nice! And the memory thread because Kazuha finally got a chance to see just what it was that Maka deals with back home, and witnessing her fight with Free really made her respect for her shoot up. Not that she didn't respect her before, just that... hey, fighting werewolves is pretty damn terrifying okay. :(
This wasn't solely a thread between them, but I'm also pretty fond of the thread Crow and Kazuha had with Maka when they were handcuffed. It was hilarious that she had to step in and snap at them to keep them from bickering, and then each of the trio got to explain a little more about their world and the stuff in it, and it was just... really nice, that they were all so curious about each other.
♦ Worst Moment(s): Maka and Kazuha get along too well to have any sort of bad moment, but I'm fairly certain they both look back on their escapades in the library with the divebombing books and the one that rapped Sherlock Holmes and just... grimace. A lot. They are never going to have a normal day in the library, and the one time they almost did, they were stuck witnessing memories.
♦ Maka in general: Quite possibly one of Kazuha's more normal friendships (being friends with thieves and guys who walk dogs of Hell and clones and all). For all that she's younger, Kazuha appreciates that she's still one of the more logical people on the island, and doesn't talk down to her at all, since Maka can usually make some excellent points. They've taken to exploring the island and trying to find some sort of semblance in the library, which almost always ends in failure ahaha. Kazuha thinks Maka's an incredibly strong person, both in personality because she hardly ever gets discouraged and in terms of ability. One part of her still wants to watch out for the girl, but Maka's capable of taking care of herself, so really, the only thing Kazuha definitely makes sure of is that her nose isn't always stuck in a book. Yes, Maka, you are a bookworm, even if Kazuha won't say that out loud now. Also, she'd like to see Maka and Soul in action, since the only time she's seen them together... they were crashing. :(
