Lethargy immediately set in as my eyes fluttered open for the umpteenth time in the morning. The first was due to an SMS from F*khari.
How devastating. Usually I won't be able to make sense of the SMS and reply nonsensically if my brain's effectively half-functioning. I've always trusted him but Heath Ledger, dead? I couldn't help but feel skeptical and dropped a few messages to him and M*za. 10 Things I Hate About You has always been the bestest chick flick around. I think that was why I loved (and still love) Ada Apa Dengan Cinta - Sapuntra reminded me so much of him. The world has indeed lost a prolific actor. Sigh.
Ensuing the waking up was a tiny voice which reverberated from the back of my head, almost imploring me to quit procrastinating for there was just no way to save myself from the drudgery of sending him off. Reluctantly I decided to put hiding under the comforter to a cessation, cleaned up, read about Ledger online, talked to the parents and drove off with him.
I realised that I've grown attached to him. Not fond, just attached. I seemed not to be able to leave without him when I walked to Macs from home last weekend. A distance two bus stop away from the house seemed like an interminable walk. Fan, fan. What can I do without you?
Yes, I actually gave him a name. It's a he simply because he's grey and grey is not a feminine colour. Grey is NOT me. I am a girl. Since it is NOT me, it shouldn't be female too. Hahaha. The name? I like the name Irfan. The Irfans I noe are cute. Haha. :P
I had to leave him at the centre and pick him up only later, which means, that I have 2.5 hours to kill. Calls were made to the best friend and a makchic, but both had school-related matters to attend to. I trudged out of the centre, took out my long-forgotten mp3 player and walked out to the neighbourhood.
It was a refreshing change. The walk had a calming effect on me. Perhaps it was just the neighbourhood. I found a bus stop and decided to go to the nearest interchange. It had been a long time since I last used my EZLink card that I wasn't even sure if there was any value in it. I didn't have to wait too long. Service 143 came and boy was I in for a super nice surprise!
Local buses are now so pretty and spacious! They have really pretty and well-maintained (maybe cuz they are new) seats and wide pathways so one doesn't have to worry about rubbing one's ass to another's! Haha! I can practically dance or perhaps even do a cartwheel there! Thumbs up to S*S. Well done! *beams* Hahaha!
I fished out my PSP and played more SIMS before alighting at the interchange and then made short stops at the Popular, Aries and our old hangout places. I remembered mentioning to Di, that JEC is now inches away towards realising its middle name. Gone were the days when we spent hours studying at the white stone benches outside the fast food restaurants. The white tables, I observed, were interchangeably and fast occupied by patrons of the restaurants that day. Then, we would check for tables with a bench and two stools which allowed all of us to sit and study together.
Soon I plopped my bag and huge ass on a red suede chair at Cafe Galilee's.
Cocoa Mocha Addiction was love and I spent the next hour spending quality 'me'-time reading in the library before visiting the fiction section where I continued my reminiscing and was reminded of the long staircase up to level 2 of the lib. Haha. Returned to pick Irfan up with this:
All in all, it was good. I hope to go car-less over the weekend and perhaps, some school days next week. I'll be able to save a lot on parking and petrol. This will certainly be tantamount to less heartaches. Haha.
With the neverending Writer's Strike (when oh when will it end?), I couldn't have my usual dose of GG and GA. I'm even having withdrawal symptoms. Last Tuesday I had a GG moment. Saw an Arts fac teacher from junior college entering the doors of the school's lib and i immediately informed M*r. I just needed a snap of her caught in the act and I'd *so* be an Upper East Sider. :P
Being avid tennis fans, my family (except the second bro who has just bought himself a Felicia Blue PSP Slim - note to Sibah: The Deep Red one is out of stock. My bro wanted it but he could get it. ) has been hooked on the Australian Open. Jankovic's dress is love.
If only our netball jerseys were this nice ten years ago. Anyway she beat the younger WIlliams. But my love has got to be...
You are so beautiful, you make me realise why I am so tak laku. And damn, the tennis game i've been playing on the PSP doesn't have you! =..(
Which reminds me, I feel like seriously going back to netball but it's so difficult to get a team. I recently signed up at the N*tball S*ngapore site. We'll see how it goes. I miss jumping the way I did eight years ago, full-time. Hehe.
*clasps hands and hopes for the best*
Kids only have a span of 20 minutes maximum in a lesson. We have 8 hours of lesson with absolutely no breaks in between. Are we super or what?
I just hope my Cou*nselling tutor wears something different tmr or maybe I may need to counsel her about her (lack of) fashion sense.
