At the heart of the conflict of this episode is how the people of Storybrooke now remember both of their lives: as Storybrooke citizens as well as their true selves in FTL. What I found fascinating was how the Prince made it seem possible to be both when Jefferson seemed to be driven mad by it. I guess it just tells on the character of the person. Charming is pretty noble and true while Jefferson's always treaded the thin line.
Didn't like the lack of Emma and Snow but I guess that was made up for in the next epi.
I really think that at some point, either in this season or in the following ones, that Regina is going to go back to being good. She seems to be trying right now but really, who knows?
I liked the character development of Regina though. Getting more of her back story and how she saw that she was about to repeat her mother's mistakes and actively taking action to not do so was a good point to see.
Can I just say "Yay!" for Charming coming back to being a leader?
I find it funny that Red is acting as Lieutenant. In this episode and in the next.
We had so much female power in this episode it was ridic. I also got choked up a couple of times but I think that's because it was late and I was already slightly depressed.
When Aurora attempts to take out Snow and all of them (including Mulan and Emma) get into the tussle, I could see all the Aurora/Mulan shippers and people who go for girl on girl fights going crazy :)
Throughout the episode I had a hard time trusting Lancelot because of how he and Snow met and his wierdness in the camp. I'm glad it was Cora and not actually him though. I know that there's mourning happening over Lancelot and also speculation of him not actually being dead, but I think he is.
Really satisfied with the mother-daughter bonding that Emma and Snow shared in the nursery. I'm happy that Emma was able to understand just how much her parents gave up so that she could live.
Again, love how Snow is back in place of timid Mary Margaret. Her whole "Get away from my daughter!" bit to the ogre totally reminded me of Molly Weasley in HP7 before she faces off with Bellatrix.
Aurora is annoying still. Maybe she won't be now that she's found a way to channel her anger.
Mulan is a soldier, not a leader. She follows orders so it makes sense to me that she deferred to Snow. Still, that kind of didn't jive with how BA I've been thinking she was.
Charming taking down seven men on his own = hawt, I have to admit.
The whole theme of mother giving something up for their child is so bittersweet. I did kind of love the whole Ruth sacrifice for Snow and Charming and the marriage by Lancelot.
Gramps and Henry bonding was cute.
Henry standing up Regina who was so happy that he wanted to see her was really really mean.
Jefferson and daughter reunion = <3
I hope we resolve a lot in the following episodes and continue to also have more questions.
