Pictures of wedding things!
After two weeks with my parents in Virginia, I'm getting ready to fly back to Colorado on Monday night. I've had so much fun on this visit! I got to see almost all my friends, I photographed 5 families, I met with a potential client, I hosted a bridal shower, and I had a bridal shower hosted for me.
One of my best days of this trip was last Thursday, when my mother and I went for my final fitting for my wedding gown at Jeannette's bridal salon. We love that salon so much that we bought my dress, her dress, my rehearsal dinner dress, her shoes, her purse, and my bolero jacket there. We sat in chairs under chandeliers, and let the salespeople bring us things to try on. We were Pretty Women on Rodeo Drive. Afterward we went out for lunch, and then headed to the mall for even more shopping. It was a great day with Mom that I'll always remember.
Yesterday was my bridal shower, which was even more fun than I could have imagined. We played games and laughed for hours, and I just loved it. My wonderful mother figured out my complicated camera and took lots of photos for me throughout the day. I'll post some pictures after I get a chance to sort through them.
After a year of stressful life changes, including the loneliness of a new city and the anxiety of a new business, I've really enjoyed this opportunity to relax and celebrate with my friends and family. It was great to learn that I am worthy of celebration. I needed it, and I loved it. Thanks to everyone who played a part!
