Title: Blood, sweat, and tears.
Rating: Will probably get a bit R-ish at some point.
Disclaimer: Not mine, obviously.
Author's Notes: Not so sure about this chapter (I know, I'm doubting the fic already. Bad author.) The next chapter will be better + should be up tomorrow-ish :-)

Naomi lit a fag, and shoved her hands in her pockets. What does she do now? She tried calling Emily a few times, but after the seventh time, Katie picked up.

"FUCK. OFF." and that was the end of the conversation.

Naomi sighed, and sat on their doorstep. She knew for a fact that Rob and Jenna were gone for the weekend, along with James, to some fitness convention. Poor sods. At least she didn't have to worry about Emily's mum killing her or anything.

She knocked on the door again, and again, and again, but it just wasn't going to happen. God, why was she so stupid. Emily had planned a nice night in for them. They were going to go to Freddie's party after college, have a bit of a laugh, along with a few drinks, and dances, then escape back to Emily's house. It was assumed that Katie would pick up some bloke along the way, and not return home till the next morning.

But of course, no. Things never go as planned with Naomi fucking retard Campbell. Had to fuck things up, didn't she. She should have been more careful.

She replayed the scene over and over again;

The last day of college before a two week break. Two solid weeks of drinking, dancing, and sex. All with Emily. Perfect. But of course, Cook was there. He found Naomi in an empty classroom and strutted over to her with that stupid, cocky grin on his face.

"Naomikinsssss" He drawled in a whisper, already pissed. She just looked at him with distaste. "You wanna take me up on that offer yet?" he grinned, getting too close for her liking. She could smell the alcohol on his breath, as his body touched her's.

"Cook, fuck off." She tried to push him away, but he put an arm either side of her, resting on the wall, trapping her.

"Naomiii, you know you want it." He grinned. Naomi wasn't afraid, she knew Cook was a good boy at heart, he wouldn't ever hurt her intentionally. But he was stupid, and drunk. And as he dropped his lips to her shoulder, and dragged them up to her lips, Naomi barely had time to cringe, before noticing the girl in the doorway, her chocolate eyes wide with shock, which soon turned to rage.

Naomi had clocked what she was thinking in just a second, putting all the pieces together, what it looked like from an outsider's perspective.

Cook and Naomi almost got it on before. Cook and Naomi are almost getting it on now - it all looked pretty simple to anyone who wasn't her, or Cook.

The redhead turned and walked away. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck!

"Katie!" Naomi shoved the boy off her.

"Nice one! She can join us!" Cook laughed, before he slid down the wall, and fell into a drunken sleep.

"It's not what it looks like!" Naomi shouted after her, but Katie was gone.

Naomi couldn't catch Katie after she had run off into a crowd of excited people leaving the college, and Naomi didn't know what to do. She couldn't beat Katie to Emily, that was certain. Call her. Call her, you twat!

Naomi fumbled for her phone in her pocket and dialled the number quickly, but as she held it up to her ear, a group of students moved on, and she noticed the twins talking behind where the loud boys were standing. She could just about make out what Katie was saying.

"I'll kill her. I'll fucking kill her. I knew she was no good. Fucking bitch. I'll kill her." She was muttering over and over again, whilst she hugged her crying sister.

They were both startled by the phone ringing, and they both peered at the phone cautiously, looking shockingly similar. Then they both looked up, eyes falling on Naomi, in a tearful mess, shaking her head.

"Ems, it's not true." She whispered. She noticed Katie squeeze her sister's arm gently in support. It was all Emily needed to stand up, and close the space between them.

"How could you?" She whispered, her voice betraying her anger as it wavered. She knocked past Naomi, and storming off, and Katie soon replaced her, looking up into the tearful blue eyes. Katie could be so intimidating for such a small girl.

"You've gone too far this time, Campbell. I tried to support the two of you, but you're just a slut, aren't you? You just have to fuck her up." Katie mirrored Emily, knocking past her, and following her sister. Naomi felt Katie's words hollow her out, break her down. She never meant to fuck Emily up.

Naomi felt tears springing to her bright eyes as she sat on their doorstep. She needed to fix this. She needed Emily to know.

She looked in her bag and found a notebook and a few pens. She supposed she'd have to go retro, and write a letter. But as the pen hit the paper, she wondered where she could possibly start. Did she tell the story? Did she beg her to talk face-to-face?

Jesus, this would be harder than she thought.

Emily,

Jesus, I don't know how I'm going to explain this in a fucking letter, but it'll have to do.

I promise, I wasn't doing anything with Cook. He was drunk, and I was alone. He trapped me, and asked me to finish what we started at the elections. I told him to fuck off, I promise. But then he kissed me, and Katie walked in, and she must have got the wrong impression - Jesus, Ems, please, I would never cheat on you! Fuck, Ems, I already turned him down once when I was single! Who would go with him when they have someone like you?

Emily, I love you. I'd never do anything to hurt you. Well, okay, I already have. But, I mean, I'd never do anything intentionally.

Please, can we just talk? Call me, or text me. Or email me. I really don't care, I just want to talk to you.

I love you,

Naomi read it back. She had rambled a bit, and it hadn't come out quite as profound as she had first anticipated. It was a bit messy, too, where she had obviously rushed it. It'd have to do.

She knocked on the door again, loudly.

"KATIE? KATIE, GET THE FUCK OUT HERE!" She screamed, a lot louder than she realised she could. Katie came rushing out, as expected.

"Fucking hell, Naomi! We do have neighbors, you know!?" She whispered in that angry tone. Naomi ignored her and thrust the note in her hands.

"I'll go home if you promise to give this to her." Katie eyed the folded piece of paper suspiciously.

"Please, Katie. I need her to see it." Naomi added softly. Katie looked from Naomi, to the note, and back again. She just nodded.

"But fuck off. I mean it." She said as she closed the door. Naomi nodded slightly, and added a quiet 'thank you' before she turned and left.

Now she just had to wait.
