Day 5!
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
Technically, the youngest character is Clarissa, the rabbit familiar of one of the 3 regimental mages. But as far as characters who get a speaking role, I would say that 18 Edmund (my MC) is the youngest. Almost all the other characters are at least in their mid 20's. The oldest is his phoenix/hummingbird familiar Sparkish, who was born in Georgia sometime in the mid 1630's. However, he doesn't remember anything before a few months ago, which was the last time he was reborn.
The most recent character I created would probably be Lt. Grey's partner Surgeon Lawrence, although he is off stage for most of the story. Strangely, the character I created first wasn't Ed but Lt. Whitefield, the regiment's healer. His original incarnation (invented when I was in High School) was pretty much the exact opposite of what he is now. He went from being a violent, telekinetic, British Gary Stu to an outgoing American medic/healer. Not quite sure how that happened....
