If you got the money to not worry about what food you ate or how much money it took to fill up your car, would you buy organic local and drive a hybrid or would you eat whatever and drive a gas guzzler?
Well, there's a big difference between a hybrid and a gas guzzler, isn't there? I mean... a toyota corrolla gets like 35 mpg, and it's not a hybrid. And I'd get one of those if I had the money, but hybrids have a lot of bugs to be worked out yet.
As for local organic, you can get those cheaper in season than the regular... you just have to find the farmer's market.
I think I'd definitely change both of these. I try to eat at least 'free-range' chicken and eggs and milk, but organic meat and vegetables is just out of my price range at the moment. But I absolutely believe that organic is better for you.
I probably wouldn't buy a hybrid, as my understanding of the current technology (at least available in Australia) is that it wouldn't significantly change my fuel usage with the type of driving I have to do. But I'd definitely change to a more fuel economical car.
