Birthday in Vegas :)
Day 1- got there around 5:30 or so and after checking in (we stayed at Circus Circus) we went to eat at the buffet- we all agreed it was the worst buffet EVER. I remember eateing there quite a few times in the past and it was fine- but now...ick you would expect better for 15 or 16 bucks a pop! Then I took the kids up to the game/arcade area while Ryan gambled. They won some bears and played some arcade games and were happy -also watched a trapeze act which had them in awe then to bed- the beds were actually pretty comfy.
Day 2- My birthday...breakfast (not at buffet) was fine-but pricey. No vegas is not a cheap place to eat anymore! Then we went to the Luxor and watched a 3d movie at Imax...they have a monsters of the deep one (we didnt see) and another one- deep ocean or something- I asked the woman which one had "wierd glowy fish" and she said the ocean one so we went- it happened to be starting then so I thought we lucked out...not so much. Not many glowy fish in that one at all- oh well. I guess we'll see the monsters of the deep one next time. we shopped a bit then went to the MnM store to see the movie they have there (requested by the kids-we did that last time) and went to In and Out for lunch YUM! we havn't had that in like 4 or 5 years- it was the cheapest we ate and almost the best! heh. Then back to Circus Circus-Ryan wanted a nap so I took the kids to the Dome (where the rides are) about 2 hours later we went back to get Ryan who had been woken by the maid and went to gamble again. We found him and went off to Mandalay Bay wehre we went to the shark reef aquarium the have there and to eat at their buffet. It is the BEST buffet! sooo much good food and crab legs even! We had done both last time we went to vegas-but they were so good we did it again then we went back to the room- I had promised the kids we would let them go back to the dome- but our feet were really hurty so it didnt happen-they were kinda pissed, but got over it eventually.
Day 3- Ryan and I got up and went to the craps table for a bit- won back some money he had lost previously- then back to get the kids up -packed everything and checked out. then went to the Venetian so we could go to the wax museum! but first we got breakfast there and it was really good. the wax museum was really fun...I wish I had taken more than one picture with Johnny Depp though...we were kinda surprised how short they all seemed! took a bunch of pics of the kids and whatnot. Ryan was a boob and wouldn't pose for any ...anyhow after that we drove home and now it's back to getting this place in order and back to work.
Fun weekend though- what a way to spend my birthday!
