5(6?) Juni 2013 - Do the work yourself, or supervise?

I would much rather supervise.
One would think this automatically, I suppose, seeing as I run a business. I'm not too terribly hands-on, not really, and what's the point of having managers and supervisors if one does it all oneself? Which doesn't mean I don't know how to, because I do. I would just rather let people do the jobs I hired them to do.

Supervising? Ähm... nö. Dangö. If I absolutely had to, I could probably supervise, but the problem I've always had is that if I really need something done properly, I feel like I should just do it myself rather than have to trust to someone else. I have yet to meet a mind reader, so I almost think it's a bit unfair to expect people to do things to the standard I would want since they don't live in my head and can't really know. Ryn calls me a barbarian for it, saying that having people in ones employ is a mark of civilization and that only a barbarian would insist on doing everything himself. But then, she would call me a barbarian anyway, so I'm not certain how legitimate her argument is.

"Die in a fire," she muttered at her alarm clock. Not that it was the clock's fault that she had to get up and tackle the gigantic to-do list she'd compiled the day before. Torrential didn't stir and she glared. It wasn't fair that he got to sleep in, and she was terribly envious of the fact, especially with the way her body felt heavy and ungainly, her eyelids threatening to shut again.
"Lie back down, Schatzi." Ryn looked at the Wolf again, noting that he was, in fact, awake.
"I thought you were sleeping."
"Nee, Herzle. But you should be."
"But..."
"But nothing. It can wait. You're exhausted."
"Five minutes," she said, curling back up in his arms.
"Na gut. Five minutes."
7 Juni 2013 - A list of things you should have done already, but haven't done yet

1. Wash the car ...especially since it's nice out and it's supposed to rain all next week. But it's nice out and the park is so much more appealing
2. Find what's making that weird sound when I rev my bike ...because I miss riding, but it's nice out. And Ryn wants ice cream.
3. Fold the laundry ...I have no excuses
4. Reply to the messages in my inbox which have been sitting there for a week and really deserve replies
5. Vacuum the ceiling since Ryn isn't tall enough to do it, and the dust is making her sneeze
