Thursday partnership
Tonight, one hundred words on the ins and outs of a successful partnership.
"You'd be the perfect partner for either of them."
Now even Paulita was commenting on my situation. "Now what's your theory?" I asked.
"You're streetsmart, the boys are well...theoretical smart. It balances out. If you work with Makaraig, you'd keep him out of trouble. If you work with Enjolras, you'll keep him in the real world." She was marking all of this on her fingers. "Of course, they'd look out for you."
"We're talking about partnership, not a menage a trois."
"Who said you had to pick now?"
I rolled my eyes. Paulita thought of the worst things sometimes.
