Sunday: Door
It's just another Sunday like any other. You're going about your business. Kicking around the house, or maybe you have to work Sundays-- either way, at some point in the day you have to open a door. Your front door. The office door. A car door. A castle door.
What lies on the other side is not what it should be.
What is it, exactly? A snowy landscape with a single lamppost, and a faun's hoofprints disappearing into the snow? A castle-school for young wizards and witches rising out of a lake? The broad concourse of a teeming spaceport filled with creatures from all species, and a Jedi or two walking in brown robes amongst them?
Pick an existing fictional world that is not the one your character is from, and have the door open to there. It's up to you if your character knows and recognizes the world for what it is (maybe they were a big Narnia buff growing up!).
Does your character go in? Call for help? Slam the door shut?
