Twosday To Whom It May Concern

Following loosely in Munday's footsteps... Write two notes/letters/text messages what have you, from your character to other characters in his/her/its world. They can each be as long or as short as you want.

#1: An old letter to my parents I didn't end up sending because they showed up before I could mail it

Dear Mother and Father,

I do hope this letter finds you well. How are things back in Burtonsville? I hope my disappearance has not caused you or anyone else too much grief. I'm sorry that I have not made it back in time for my arranged marriage, but -- honestly, I don't think I could go through with it anyway. I've never even spoken to Miss Everglot, after all. The idea of marrying a complete stranger unnerves me greatly.

I'm doing well here in the city. I continue to help Doc in the shop, and with his experiments. I wish I could show you some of what he's working on; it's absolutely amazing. You'd be intrigued despite yourselves. We worked together to tweak the design of the breakfast-maker -- we mainly added mechanical arms with different cooking implements so we could have our eggs in different ways. It was quite fun, and the results were delicious. Honestly, Mother, I think you'd like this machine -- it's very useful, and it would give the cook more time to work on your dinners.

Wonderland Park remains my favorite place in the city. Alice Liddell introduced me to the Origami Ants the other day. They live on a little mountain of wood, china, and jade in the middle of a pond. As their name suggests, they're ants made out of living folded paper. They're also exceedingly sweet creatures -- they were only too happy to pose for my sketches. Alice was amused at how much they liked me. I guess she thought they might be scared of me because I'm an entomologist. They did seem a little wary at first, but after I assured them I didn't like making bug boxes, everything was all right. I'm looking forward to saying hello to them again.

Please write back and tell me how you are. I worry about the lack of replies. I really do hope you're both well.

Your son,
Victor

#2: A letter I wrote to Alice because I thought it would be easier to tell her about my growing feelings on paper rather than in speech. If I ever send it, it'll need cleaning up

Dear Miss Liddell Alice,

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits and good health. How are your aunt and uncle? Have you had to fight anything particularly nasty lately? Did you mean it when you said

I'm well enough, as you probably know by seeing There has been something on my mind lately, however. Something -- that could change our relationship forever. Hopefully for the better, though

Alice, I love I would like to say how much I admire Would you be averse to I love you. I have for a while now. Meeting Victoria and hearing about the possibility of an arranged marriage made me realize just how much I care for you, and how much I'd miss you if we were apart. I want to be with you always. I want to make you smile, make you laugh, just -- make you happy.

Please tell me you feel You've stated before that you really don't care about love. I need to know -- could I persuade you to care? Is there any chance of you sharing my feelings? Please, let me know at the soonest available opportunity how you feel about me.

I'm sorry if this letter causes you any distress. Don't leave Even if you don't share my feelings, I sincerely hope we can continue our friendship.

Yours Love Sincerely,
Victor Van Dort
