Haylee pushed the bowl of ice cream away from herself and across the table at her companion. “Good God I can’t eat another bite.” Her and a friend had picked up some on their way home from classes that day.
“Well you’re the one who said something about wanting ice cream.” Thankfully, they had went to Janice’s house instead of trying to go to her own. Her parents were likely still sleeping off a hangover, but she didn’t want to go there just in case they were waking up right around now.
“Well yeah, but I can only eat so much.” They had actually picked up mint chocolate chip ice cream. Haylee loved the stuff. Everyone needed an indulgence every once in a while, after all.
