Hope things get better for your mom soon.

By the way, ideas do have a way of coming out from the least likely places. Before you know it, you'll have a hard time batting off the plot bunnies.

I know me too.

God I hope you're right! Those plot bunnies better get running to me.

Sometimes they come up in class. At least that's how it works for me. That's why I keep a notebook on me at all times.

Yeah I do too. Mostly class has been giving me ideas but still, I'd rather have easier plots, ya know? My plots never interlock well.

Yikes. Once I had to attempt a change in genre to let my plots stop jumping on my head.

Ahahaaha I just never have my plots ending the way I want. I hate it.

Sometimes, especially if the characters are in charge, it's more fun to see where the plot goes. Lord knows it's happened too often with my bunch.

Me too. That's how I usually do it, but I hate not having a beginning middle and end, ya know?

I get what you mean. Sometimes it feels like having a mini Literature or English teacher in one's head, nagging on and on about plot structure.

Constantly! I hate it! I'm a big structure and grammar maximum most of the time, so having something that isn't structural kills me.

I live with a sister who is a school teacher/has taken up literary criticism. I get to have my work dissected for its lack of structure every week.

Eh, I'm sorry. Though its easy editing, I'd think. Still, slightly annoying. And yanno, some works are best without structure.

Well it's annoying since we have very different tastes in books. She's into Latin American lit, I'm into a variety of genres ranging from historicals to sci fi. So we don't live by the same tropes.

Ah yeah, that'll do it. I like Latin American lit though. But yeah I can like anything.

Except the book Kindred, which counts as African American lit, I think. I still really dislike that book.

Of Latin American lit, my favorites have got to be by Allende and Neruda. But not much else.

I'm not too familiar with African American lit but I don't dislike anything from there. The only book I think I truly disliked (apart from Twilight and the Inheritance Saga) is "Return of the Native" by Hardy.

Oh how did I forget about Twilight? We just brought it up. Hate that too. I the to say it, but there's a lot of AA lit that I find myself disliking. But then again, The Help is one of my fav books, so there's that.

I really hated Kindred. Don't read it.
