We've all heard the saying that something will happen 'when pigs fly', but an unknown speaker reminds us today that....

Well, of course they do! Or at least the green ones do, that is. When I was a young girl, an acquaintance succeeded in convincing me that such creatures were called raths.
The flying pigs are usually called just that. Mome raths (thus called because they have a terrible sense of direction and are forever loosing their way), however, are dear little creatures that seem to be made up entirely of limbs & hair tufts.
