Sunday: Texting Blunder
Tonight we invite you to send a message. Use email, pony express, or owl. Or make a public notice - post a bill on a wall, a comment on a message board, a craigslist listing. If you have a specific recipient in mind, feel free to indicate that in your post - but messages have been known to go awry.
It's a beautiful night, and Lucy is ready to hit the town. Well, after she's had something to eat. Fortunately for her, she's located a cute little pizza place not too far from her apartment. It looks just about perfect, but Lucy knows that this sort of thing is always better experienced with a friend. So instead of going right in, she yanks out her phone and sends a quick message to her friend Trevor:
Hey, going out tonite. Wanna come with? Meet me at Pepperoni Paul's on 5th and 8th. See ya!
The phone goes back in her purse, and she lingers outside the door, waiting for her friend. She won't realize until someone gets back to her that, in her rush, she misdialed the number for her text. . . .
