Me, in trouble? I ne- well, actually once or twice.
1. Fifteen, learning to drive, I ended up off-roading in my mother's sedan and getting it stuck in the middle of a corn field. I can hardly be blamed for that, however; I learned to drive on boring, straight-as-an-arrow stretches of empty country road. A boy's got to learn about curves and turns somehow, hasn't he?
2. And actually, I recall being pulled over speeding once at eighteen, but big deal. Learned where not to speed.
3. Then there was that thing when I was...oh, nineteen, twenty, where--well. Linus was furious with me. And I suppose that it was my fault that time, but am I really to blame? Giving an inexperienced young man a comfortable inheritance. I blame her irresponsibility and sloppiness in her preparation more than anything.
4. Ah, hm...hm...there was that time in the army. Cravings were at fault there, not me.
5. I'm almost always in trouble with my darling, of course, but that's half of her charm. She's so adorable when she's angry. It's like a sport, winding her up. And I'm only rarely at true fault, so there's never any harm done.
