Twosday: Fresh Starts
Tell us two times when you had a fresh start.
I can say I've probably had plenty of fresh starts, given I've moved around a lot, but let's go with the two I'd consider most important. Fresh Start #1 would be my going home after that whole incident with the asylum. I'm so lucky that my Mom and Dad were willing to take me back in, pretty much no questions asked. I was so scared that I was going to have to face the world completely alone. . . . Suffice to say, I've made a concerted effort never to repeat the mistakes of my past after that little trip. I couldn't stand that happening again.
Fresh Start #2 is much nicer, though -- that was me moving into another state for the first time. Went to Memphis, Tennessee to see about continuing college there. The place I was looking at turned out to be not a good fit for me, but I did hook up with a theater group doing a play on the history of the music scene there. Stayed with those guys for a good year and a half -- good people. :) I guess I can credit that experience with my tendency to move around and follow the theater.
