FIVE TIMES YOU LOST SOMETHING
1. My home; Ryan couldn't help being born with a heart defect. And we couldn't help it that my parents wanted to move to the States for the medical advantages. But I miss Italy.
2. My family; The divorce tore my family apart and ripped my siblings from their mama. But when your ex-husband is one of Manhattan's biggest Wall Street sharks, you can't expect custody to be awarded to an Italian immigrant with no family in the country.
3. My security; I can never be touched on my back without that fear shooting through me. I can never sleep soundly when a case gets to me. I can't walk into a hospital without those memories haunting me.
4. My friend; Jess never deserved to die protecting that piece of shit witness.
5. My chance at marriage; I don't regret choosing my career over my engagement. And if I could go back to that moment again - I'd make the same choice.

1. Love; Matteo was my first kiss, first love, first everything. Even though we never made it down the aisle, he will always hold a special place in my heart.
2. Strength; It was in being beaten, broken, and left for dead that I discovered how strong I truly am.
3. Alcohol; In Stephen's office when I was nine years old. It was the moment I realized that mama's husband was an alcoholic.
4. Second chances; Whether it's a new partner, another chance at love, or time spent with my siblings, I've been able to grasp those chances.

1. Love; I broke Matteo's heart when I made my choice. And for that I'll always be sorry.
2. Freedom; With every arrest I make.
3. Life; Three years into the job, I had my first shootout and I killed a suspect. It still haunts me today.

1. My badge; There was some heat coming down from up above when a case went wrong and I was suspended pending an IAB investigation.
2. My identity; The moment I was raped, I lost a part of myself that I will never get back.
