Have you seen the world? I mean really!?! Disease, homelessness, murder, rape, senseless acts of violence. I believe we are all too aware of the condition of the world. And trust me when I say that it's gotten progressively worse over time. Do I want my fairy tale to end in a way I can relate to? Hell no. Those happy endings give me hope. I like to think Ariel really did get her prince in the end. Not jump off of the ship and turn into sea foam because she could not bring herself to harm the prince.

So eighty-six the Grimm truth and give me an order of Disney please.



P.S.- See The Lion King or The Princess and the Frog. Both have happy endings but some really tragic moments. I suppose, sometimes, we need a little bit of both.
