Twosday - Love of Your Life

This whole mentality confuses me a bit. I wasn't raised with family values but team playing. They weren't about to raise a bunch of orphans, for a lack of better word, about love and family when everyone fears us and wants to control our population. I did learn about sex and the importance of connections but when it's explained by psychologists it sort of loses it's romanticism.

No, I had to learn about love on my own. The different levels of attachment continually fascinate me. Chemically, no two people will ever draw the same response from me. It's impossible to feel the same about two people, even love. Same heart, different love. So if it's all different and completely limitless why not explore every relationship to the fullest? Why not love every person in your life to the best of your ability? I'm not saying force something. If you aren't physically attracted to someone then don't take the relationship in a physical direction. It's not about sex it's about something much deeper than that. Sex is actually the least important part to me. It's like a hug or a punch. It's physical contact meant to convey a certain emotion. I'm more interested in the emotion behind it.

The original question was Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now but my question is what is right? And what makes a brief encounter so much less than someone you see everyday? Not everyone is meant to stay in your life forever. Some people are just meant to touch your life for a moment like that person behind you at the grocery store that has that extra dollar for you or that guy in the bar that listened to you while you rambled and went out of his way to make sure you both had a good time. You'll never see them again but you aren't meant to. It's almost more special because it's fleeting. No positive connection, in my opinion, is a bad one. I feel no guilt or remorse over the people I enjoyed just like I feel no regret over the men in my life now. It's new and wonderful having people that I can say that I love but I don't think it takes away from any other connection I may have had.
