Twosday - Love or Money?
A. Take a job you can't stand because the money's too good to pass up?
-OR- B. Work a job you love, even though you might make little or no money at it?
Hmm. That's a hard one. Overall I want to be happy in life. If I loved my job and it made me happy, I'd figure out how to live on making nearly nothing. I've done it before. One the other hand, if it meant having the means to take care of the people I love - I could put up with a lot.
If it started making me miserable at home and outside of work, I'd probably quit. But until it did...just knowing I could provide. Help my mom or sisters if they need it, guarantee a good life for my boy, send him to college. I could take care of the woman I love. She wouldn't have to worry about bills to pay, or struggling to get by. She wouldn't even have to work unless she wanted to. I'd give her, and Frankie, anything they wanted.
Sure, happiness is important, but if I can care for and provide for the people that mean the most for me....well, that would make me happy. Very happy.
