How do he get published?
So I decided to take a break from my fabulous fanfiction authors and read some published work that I had bought a while ago. I started off reading an anthology of Drake Reynold's short stories and it was seriously the worst thing I've read in weeks. How did this person even get published? In addition to bad writing (which was seriously cringe worthy), I think he just took some hetero stories and modified them to be m/m. My evidence for this is random references to grabbing breasts, occasional feminine pronouns, "holes" that are wet without any preparation, and in one story there was a switch from the main character being called Armando to Amanda!!! In the middle of sex too!!!
So needless to say, I'm going back to my fanfiction stories. And if you happen to be one of the good fanfiction authors out there and you write original work too, try and get it published. There are multiple good e-publishing agencies out there, and if Drake Reynold's trash can get published, so can your superior work.
