Brutal IT Day -- Yes, Another One!
Marilyn took me out for dinner tonight, so I seriously should be dancing a jig right now! And it was fun, believe me. She's just the best!
But my day? Brutal. The IT stuff went okay, though not as well as it could have by a long shot...
Christine has her new computer. She DOES NOT have dual monitors at this point. (sigh) Last I heard she didn't have Quickbooks, either. (That may have ended up fixed, but I don't know for sure. I couldn't bring myself to ask, honestly...)
She has another issue that I spent hours researching and trying to fix. It's a known Outlook bug, but nothing I found would fix it. (sigh)
All in all, I'm sick of IT right now. Sick to death of it. Even the stuff that went well just seems like a huge pain.
I tried to teach Donn computer setup (the way I do it), but it's complicated and takes ages to do. I'm sure he feels confused by it, because it almost comes as second nature to me after all these years. I don't work from notes because I don't need them. I know I should type it all up, but that just seems like a TON of work I have no interest in doing. My bad, just stating how I feel...
I guess I got more praise and applause in the RHSAA board meeting today, according to Marilyn. Mike brought up my award and had Marilyn tell everyone about it. This thing sure has legs. Who would have ever guessed???
I have ice cream waiting for me, so I'm cutting this short!
