Yeah, it's snowing here. I just took a bunch of photos to prove it! (yikes)
We do NOT get snow here in Portland at this time of year. Folks, it's SPRING. Snow and Spring do not mix...
Photo share!
As for the rest of my day, I worked, worked, worked. Yes, I stayed home, but I was busy until late. Marilyn didn't get home from work until after 8:00 p.m. again tonight (surprise). We didn't have dinner until after 9:00...
Our blinds for the beach house are being delivered early Monday morning. Our three chairs are being delivered on Saturday afternoon. Can't wait for both those things! (I talked to Tracey from Star Furniture for more than 45 minutes...)
I talked to friend Shari FOUR times today. She doesn't quite get how busy I am...
I helped June with her computer this afternoon. It didn't take that long and went quite well, actually...
I spoke to Oliver for the first time in AGES. We spoke for more than an hour (!!!), as we had a lot of catching up to do.
I finally started to use my Pinterest account today. It's not that hard to use and should prove to be fun. I needed to learn it for work, but I'll probably use it a lot just for fun.
I finally gave in at Facebook at 'published' my Timeline. I hate Timeline. But I have to give training to my boss in Friday morning -- and FB is making everybody go to Timeline next week anyway -- so whatever. I'm forcing myself to use it and get used to it... (sigh)
I find it annoying that you have to now CLICK to find things that used to just DISPLAY on the old Wall -- such as how many total Friends you have. How does that make sense? Improvements/upgrades should always make things easier and better. Well, in my opinion, anyway!
I don't think I ever mentioned that I got my new phone! It's the latest iPhone. But for the record, I don't use Siri. It seems to be buggy -- plus I think turning it off helps the battery issue. And the battery on this phone is pretty BAD. So I'm still getting used to it, but happily it's a lot like a baby iPad. (smile) So that means it's not totally strange for me...
I spent AGES today working on the new TEMPLATE for the festival eNewsletter. I made a header banner that's generic for 2012 -- it turned out okay. (In the past I made a new banner for every issue.) I'll start teaching Kirstie (the PR intern) to take over doing the eNewsletter this Friday morning. She's never used HTML before, but she's game...
I really added a LOT of comments inside the coding of the template to try and help make it easier to use. (Boy, I'd have loved to have a template back when I was first creating my own HTML for this purpose -- and I'd have killed for more commenting on the festival website when I took it over!)
When I type this all up, I realize I had a busy and productive day. I'll take it. (grin)
