Sister Sue
suzy_qp and I went to Costco first thing this morning (we got there right around 10:00 a.m., when it opens). She sat and read while I shopped, then we had a small bite to eat before heading home.
Marilyn took a short break to have lunch at home, then stayed at work until around 6:00 p.m. What a long and busy week she's had!
The weather has been rainy and colder (it poured last night), but cleared up quite a bit this afternoon and was warmer. Seriously, we can't complain about our spring weather! I took some pictures yesterday in the front of our house.
Photo share!
Tulip tree blossoms all over the ground...
Our tulip tree in full, beautiful bloom!
The tulip tree and the corner maple directly behind it.
The tree shades the corner of the house in warm weather.
Look how full of blooms the tree is this year!
The area is so full of spring color!
I love this shot looking up from under the branches.
The maple tree is nicely green.
Looking through the tulip tree toward the house.
Hens and chicks, doing well in the corner bed!
(Dad gave these to me years and years ago.)
The tulip tree and our camellia bush.
As you can see, the camellia bush is doing really well this year!
For those who don't remember, the camellia bush fell down in January 2009 (mentioned
here and again
here). We didn't know if it would recover, but it's doing nicely this year!
Spring is certainly here!
And Marilyn and I are very much looking forward to a three-day weekend (we're taking Monday off work) -- especially after the last couple of very hard weeks! Monday is our Writing Circle, so we'll need to write before then and clean house, but that's no big deal. It will be so nice to relax for a few days...
