I'm So Proud! (The Pinnacle Awards for 2008.)

Sep 10, 2008 17:28

I was working away on the current eNewsletter (for the festival) when I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. There was static and confusion on the other end of the line, so it took me a minute to realize it was Jeff calling me from Boise, Idaho -- where the IFEA convention is being held this year. (You'll recall that last year the festival won the Grand Pinnacle Award.)

I'll do a longer post about all this later, but Jeff had phoned to tell me that we'd won Silver for our website (!!!) and Gold for our eNewsletters (!!!). Jeff was so sweet -- and totally credited me for both these awards, which blew me away. (I was shouting and jumping up and down and sobbing, I was so excited! This was totally unexpected news!)

Let me clarify and say: Silver for the website I redesigned this past year, and Gold for the eNewsletter that I totally hand code and design from scratch.

The Gold means that I'm making the BEST eNewsletters in the world. (Yeah, I had someone tell me that before, but now it's been confirmed. I just don't believe it... I can't wait to phone him and his wife tomorrow and tell them about this, by the way!)

So, today is a RED LETTER day -- no doubt about it! (smile)

Oh! And the Christmas Card that Jessica and I created (her original concept and my art work) also won a Gold. (Jeff forgot to tell me, but Marilyn mistressmarilyn did, later on. I hadn't even realized it had been entered!)

All I can say is WOW. I'll share more details soon...
