I hope you're feeling better soon. Have you thought about cutting out certain foods to help with the arthritis? My aunt had it so bad there were days she couldn't move her hands, and she went to a doctor and cut out wheat and coffee (and I'm not sure what else, but those were the big ones), and she feels so much better now!
Is that Wishbone in your icon?? I loved Wishbone when I was little!
*where* in the heel? over the back? (you can get bone spurs there) -- around the ankle bone itself (mine hurts between the anklebone and the heel proper -- that's tendonitis), on the bottom of your foot? There are all sorts of things going on ...
keeping track of the diet/weather may very well be a Good Thing, but if it's RA, that's so sporadic, you may not notice a correlation (i.e., something that causes it once, may not affect it at all the 2nd time ... Could be an accumulation of things. I do know a man who cut out Red Meat -- another lady who cut out foods high in Oxalates (beans, chocolate, coffee, etc ...)
My belief is no "normal" person only says happy things. You are not complaining. You are only stating what's interfering in your life at this point and wondering how to make it better. I feel it's good of you to share that side of your life -- and we can all relate to one degree or another. This does not detract one bit from your positive attitude!
Having said that, to add to the advice above, maybe an allergy test would be beneficial. Also, it could be temporary. Keep tabs as suggested of your daily routines on a special calendar of anything different or unusual habit or foods. Take it with you to the doctor for reference. He may spot something to trigger a solution.
