Happy Halloween, 2016!
Just a quick note. I'm too tired to do a long entry...
Marilyn and I were up until 4:00 a.m. last night. So we only got a few hours sleep before going to her gastroenterologist appointment this morning. We were in TERRIBLE traffic driving there in stormy weather. But we managed to make it on time, somehow...
Medical news to share. I think I'll do that tomorrow.
Afterwards we got home and changed into our Rosie the Riveter costumes, then headed to the office for the Halloween lunch/party. It was nice seeing everyone, and the costumes they all wore.
We had Chipotle for lunch (all but Marilyn, who couldn't eat). Then Steven had crafts for us to do. Frosting sugar cookies that Calisa had baked (she also made the homemade frosting -- yummy) and some painting and drawing projects.
Marilyn had a work meeting during this time (with Jeff and our new president, Brett). I had several work-related interactions with Donn who was in continuing with the current IT project...
Then we headed home. We were anxious to fix the food for dinner and get ready for having company. We invited sister Sue and our friends and neighbors June and Jim to come over around 5:00.
We shopped on the way home at Safeway, picking up some missing items we hadn't purchased on Sunday, including Butterfinger candy!
More details TOMORROW about our evening. I really need to head to bed. It's currently 2:00 a.m. Poor Marilyn must be exhausted!!!
I'll start taking down Halloween and putting up Thanksgiving tomorrow.
