I think we both slept well last night. And right now SLEEP is very important for both of us.
Marilyn did a TON more cleaning today, working in the family room and her bedroom a bit. She was dusting and vacuuming and organizing things. Gosh, it feels good when things are clean! I did almost nothing, which is hard for me -- but good right now.
We've been watching Harry Potter movies all weekend -- great, good fun! Every single one of those movies is a delight. Marilyn and I feel they actually improve on the books in many ways. Speaking of the books, as many of you know, there are eight in the series. I own (and have read) all of them, either in hardback or paperback. (In fact, like many of you, I have read all of them more than once -- some several times.) But I haven't yet bought them for the Kindle. Because there ARE eight of them -- and many are very large tomes -- the entire series is pretty expensive (understandably). But eventually I want to spend the money and buy them. I love having the books and obviously I read them, but there's just something about having books on Kindle...
We're even thinking of watching another one when I finish blogging for today. (smile) It's fun to binge watch something that has multiple movies or series episodes.
Marilyn and I did go out for a drive today. That was nice! I feel a bit like escaping my 'prison,' what with having been a shut-in recently. What a lovely, summer day! Perfect temperatures (high 70's) and clear blue skies. I enjoyed myself a lot. It was nice of Marilyn to take me out, as she really wasn't in the mood to go.
I'm still reading my Dan Brown book and still enjoying it so much. He's just such a good writer -- and entertaining, too. (And generally speaking I'm not looking for entertainment, per se, when I read...)
Marilyn has promised that we'll get out for some rides during this week off, which I'm looking forward to.
Tomorrow I see the doctor in the early afternoon to get my recent lab results. I'm looking forward to it. I'm still having pain. I get stomach pains all the time (especially after eating). And the pain that might be my spleen is very annoying. Of course poor Marilyn is still dealing with her issues, too. Something gastrointestinal. She's been having stomach pain, too -- especially after she eats.
I guess that's our Sunday, anyway! I hope you all had lovely weekends, too.
We're thinking of going to dinner tomorrow night with friends June and Jim, depending on how they're both feeling -- and how things go at the doctor.
Good night and sweet dreams, everyone.
