Interesting! Several doctors dismissed my concern about a serious condition with my back pains because I was so limber--except one, who found my breast cancer, which ended that severe pain after surgery. This same doctor also believed me when I requested a gall bladder test (how simple that is!) after being told all my life by many others that couldn't be (despite my hed in the comode at least every week and sickly all the time from eating). The test revealed only 5 percent was working. The surgeon said it was the worst he'd ever seen. Ahhhh!
The worry and tension immediately disappeared with the identity of the problems. Just having identified both problems made it so much easier to accept and deal with.

Good for you to keep on insisting until you finally get listened to. I think most doctors are completely dismissive of anything we patients think or even know about our own conditions.

How true. Dennis also noticed how often I'd be dismissed by male doctors and he'd get the scoop with extras if he inquired instead of me. Some things haven't changed --- maybe if we lived in a more metropolitan area instead of horse and buggy land--lol.
