We Survived the First Day of Festival 2016
Quick (super quick) entry!
Still at the festival office -- the fireworks show just got over. Walked back from the RoZone (in CityFair) with Candee and her husband Roger -- very good folks. (Candee portrays Living History character Queen Thelma. Both she and Roger are pirates. Yes, pirates.)
I'm just getting ready to 'break down' my station so I'll be ready to head home. I cut myself off after two drinks tonight (well, one and a half, really).
I only rode on ONE ride during the wristband time, but that's okay. I was having a low blood sugar incident, so that was for the best, really. (Can you imagine me passing OUT on some ride? Hahaha. Um, no.
I'll try to do a more careful entry later. But if not, at least I blogged for tonight! Hahaha.
The weather decided to be good. It was pouring early in the day, but dry all afternoon, evening and night! (woo hoo)
Did not get Emma trained (more about that later). It's okay -- we'll do that Monday (Memorial Day).
I did get some work done, though -- including a project I really wanted to tackle!!! (woo hoo)
I'm beat and looking forward to getting home and getting to bed.
Anyway, it was an awesome FIRST DAY of the festival. I'm very happy right now!
