Another pretty boring day, all in all.
I did talk to Donn a couple of times. We were mainly discussing sister Sue's computer situation. But also a bit about work. Marilyn and I currently owe him for three hours of his time. But he was going to check over Sue's old computer that he took home and let me know how it's going tomorrow...
I set a hair appointment for Thursday at noon with Kathy (my hair dresser). Sue has offered to take me.
I had a LONG conversation with my friend June today on the phone. We were talking about just everything. Really lovely!
So, today I was cleaning in my bedroom, trying to tackle more of the clothing (which should take me FOREVER to finish up). I don't mean to act like I have TONS of clothes, but I guess I do have TONS of clothes. Hahaha. Part of my thing is that I keep my clothing a long time. Unless my clothes wear out, I do tend to wear favorite things for years and years. I have a lot of clothes that I used to wear back in the 80's and 90's. Why not? I still like them. And I do love tee shirts and have a lot of them.
Other than that, I mostly live in jeans, which I have a lot of, as well. Jeans and tops of some kind are mostly what I have on day in and day out. (Tees or nicer tops. But usually with jeans.)
Okay, so I like the KonMari FOLDING method a lot. I think it's a very good idea, really. It makes for more organized drawers, and I'm all for that. I've been into organizing my drawers all my life, actually...
I'm excited to tackle PAPER -- which we have a lot of in our house. Both Marilyn and I used to write tons and tons of letters to people -- back and forth -- for years of our lives. Long, type-written letters of many pages. And we've always done a lot of fiction writing (tons of it fanfic), too. So our file cabinets are full of both. And I'm a hoarder of paper items. Greeting cards, postcards, brochures and on and on. I love souvenir items from places I've visited. We have piles of our school papers, too. It's going to be a lot to go through, that's for sure!
I gathered several boxes and bags full of stuff to donate today. I'm done with almost ALL of the drawers in my two bedroom dressers. I also did more cleaning out in the garage this morning -- and organized all the stuff we need to take to the Goodwill (there's a TON).
I haven't finished reading the book, quite yet, but I'm getting close. I spent a bunch of time reading it today. I should finish reading the book tomorrow. But I think I need to read through it a second time to really let it sink in. The concepts are what's important here, aside from the practical help.
I'm forgetting some of the things I did, but it doesn't matter...
Marilyn and I watched the new series "
Lucifer" (on Fox) and really enjoyed it. We like that actor, Tom Ellis, who played Rush (on the series "Rush") -- and he's charming in this role!
Australian Open tennis continues, with a lot of matches to watch.
The weather was decent today! There was actually sunshine and blue skies! Nice. I'm pretty sick of rain.
I guess that's plenty for today, anyway. Marilyn went tonight to get a massage from Amanda at her house. She's added a room just for this purpose, and Marilyn said it was pretty nice. She lives out in Donald, Oregon. (Amanda used to come here to our house to give Marilyn massages.) She had a special on, so Marilyn decided to go. She really needed it! It's been ages since she had one.
Well, that's it for today. I'm really SLEEPY right now! Good night!
