No Way, LJ. LiveJournal Fixes What Isn't Broken. (Yet Again!!!)
Hey, LiveJournal??? How many times do we users have to tell you to QUIT changing things just for the sake of changing them? Believe it or not, many of us LIKE being able to SEE the navigation here. So in this case, less is NOT more.
I can't even say how disgusted I am by the most recent style changes. Plus it's not like you have other options. It's either the one new version, or go back to the OLD version. Period. End of story.
You know what? It used to be really simple to navigate LiveJournal -- which is MASSIVE, by the way. So guess what? I like to be able to FIND the many elements of this huge website without making myself crazy.
Seriously, am I the only one who feels this way?
LiveJournal used to be a very community-driven place to play. People with accounts felt like they were part of LJ -- and were engaged in helping to make positive changes. People used to offer input and feedback AND the administrators paid attention.
And LiveJournal used to rejoice in the differences between it and other social media sites. This was LIVEJOURNAL -- and that really mattered. Things were done differently here. And we all felt we were a cut above other social media sites.
Well, I have a permanent account, so I'm here for the long run. I might not like changes like the current one, but I'll stick it out. I suppose that's the problem. The admin counts on us just putting up with whatever crap they throw our way. It makes me sad. I guess I've been around too long, or something. But I've had my account since 2002, and I'm certainly not throwing in the towel.
I realize complaining is a waste of my time. But I'm genuinely curious to know if anyone else feels annoyed by these changes. Yes? No? Or you just don't care either way? (smile)
Gosh, it's been a while since I made a real LJ rant. Maybe it was time. Hahaha.
