Another Busy Day at the Festival Office

Oct 07, 2014 23:16

it was a long day. Because we didn't get our hair done last night (after working so late), both Marilyn and I had to shower and wash our hair first thing this morning. We still made it to work by just barely past 9:00.

We worked until after 9:30 tonight, getting home by 10:00. We were pretty hungry, so we fixed dinner, having hot dogs and Marilyn's famous baked beans (yummy). Now we're catching up on the news on TV, and at Facebook.

The cats really missed us today! They've both been begging for cat snacks, and for attention, too. Henry is on me as I type this, purring loudly. And Colin is playing wildly on the floor, all by himself!

Work on the Auction PowerPoint was the main focus today. It was hours and hours of work. Two and a half minutes are done, with one minute left to go. It's hard to explain about the timing and so on unless you've done this sort of PowerPoint. It's like making a movie, in a way. Anyway, Marilyn is doing a GREAT job. It's an honor to help her with it.

I also tackled a bunch of IT things. Donn was in again today. We have more to do, but we're putting it off until next week, after the Auction.

And I tried to add the new email account to Jeff's cell, but it just wouldn't work. Oh well. He can access it web-based, so that's what we'll do.

Staff meeting ran really long today. Good grief.

My eyes are freaking out tonight after so many hours of searching for photos and processing and preparing them. Plus looking at the PowerPoint presentation over and over. I took my contacts out the second I got home.

Well, that's my day. Hopefully tomorrow won't be as long.
