I slept late today -- too late, really! I had so much to do, that I needed to GET UP at a reasonable time... (sigh)
Anyway, Marilyn and I worked together wrapping presents to mail off to our friend Sandy, who lives near Boston. We'd originally planned to try and MAIL that package today -- but none of the post offices around here were open. So it's not going to make it by Christmas. But at least it's ready to be shipped and should make it there soon after, if we get it to the post office early on Monday (before heading to the beach).
We had ham for lunch, which was nice.
No, I didn't start doing the neighbor gifting today as planned. Tomorrow will have to work. And if I miss anyone, I'll finish up when we get back home again. I'm not going to sweat it.
This evening we went to dinner at Mickie and Vern's house. So sweet of them to have us! Shannon (Mickie's granddaughter) was there, and her parents, too (Julie and Greg). The seven of us had such a lovely visit! The house is lovely, located right by the golf course over in Vancouver (Washington). It was easy to find. We were there from 6:00 to about 9:20 p.m.
Happy note: I was able to resolve an IT issue for them while there. They didn't know their password for their WiFi, so I figured it out for them. (I've help set up Comcast WiFi for people, so I know how this works -- and they have Comcast, so...)
Now we're home getting ready to watch SNL with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake.
It's been a nice day!
