Happy 2009
First update of the year for me. I think the year is off to a pretty good start. I don't expect this to be a remarkable year, but some pretty good things are going on and it's my hope that they continue.
So far I've ridden my bike to work every day of the new year and I hope to keep that up. Though it will get harder when my commute gets longer after the office moves, but we will deal with that when it comes.
Next week I am off to Park City for the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals. Quite exciting in that a) I have never been to either festival b) I get to go for work and c) there are 3 films from Seattle there, including one that I worked on when I was in production! It sounds like it will be a crazy week of screenings, parties, panels and meeting a ton of people.
I am also taking my second class back at the UW. This is a online one due to the travel I have coming up this quarter for work. So far it's a pretty interesting class (cultural codes in communication) and the online format hasn't been as bad as I thought.
Lee and I have a vacation for the end of Jan/early Feb. that I am looking forward to as well. I didn't get to take as much time off during the holidays as I wanted due to other people being out, so I get to use it up at the end of this month which is nice.
