it is late and I should be in bed, but I made the mistake of glancing over at LJ right before I headed there and saw this and just had to read it. I'm very very sleepy right now so I can't write a very long comment about how awesome this chapter was and about how excited I was to see it, but I just wanted you to know that I loved it!! ^^ now I'm off to bed!

Things I love about this:
EVERYTHING.

What, you'd rather have a decent review? Oh. Okay. I can do that too. :)

* The log entries. It gives the whole thing such a Star Trek Voyager feel, which I love. I watched it when I was younger, so this is a very positive connection for me, and adds just another layer of super cool references.

* As do the names. We already talked about them yesterday, but the more I think about them, the more I like. Minara is obviously genius because it is super obvious, but I would have never, not in a million years, thought of it myself. So it has a lot internal logic, but is still extremely clever and innovative. WIN WIN.

* Bodyguard. Enough said. I don't want to talk about this again. (Except that I do, all the time.)

* Lembas Cram, Algae Food Cubes, or his personal favourite, Soylent Green I forgot to ask yesterday: is Soylent Green Soylent Green? And the lembas reference! LOVE it. Just one word, and already I want to watch LotR when I get home today. Are the Algae Food Cubes a reference too ( ... )
