Really not sure about this one...

It was fine, she admitted to herself. She had built up this reputation. For the majority of her life, she had prided herself on it. Until she was nineteen years old and they had come back to life, she had been untouchable.

When she was younger, she had taken no interest in men. If anything, Rei hated them, and she felt her anger had been most certainly justified. They looked at her only because they thought she was beautiful. None of them cared enough to see anything else. Their goal was their own personal gain.

If she was being honest with herself, to a certain extent, she feared them.

Men seemed to hold a certain power over women; it’s what killed her mother, it’s what broke her heart the first time in this life.

There were two exceptions. Her grandfather had been kind-hearted, open, and encouraging. If it wasn’t for him, she would have lost all faith in the opposite sex. And there was Mamoru, who proved that sometimes, love really did triumph over all.

Perhaps it was their influences or just the slight mellowness that age brought with it which eventually let him get a foot in the door. Either way, it didn’t matter, because she found herself with a man that she could never resist, even with another lifetime between them. He had won her over, it had taken him a good few years to do so, but she was effectively his all over again. And yet, she found, to her complete embarrassment, that she could not be angry at him for it. All she could do was hate herself.

They fought often, she’d tried to push him away, but always, always, he was the gentleman, understanding, caring, mindful of the past, handsome as sin and funny as hell.

This time, though, she would be cautious, she’d learnt from experience, and in this life she was a different woman, stronger, more reliant on herself. Wiser. More than anything though, she was frustrated.

She had built this reputation, she told herself, she had laid down the conditions of their courtship, and he treated her with such respect. She did not want to jeopardise what she had set up. Everything in the relationship was in her favour.

But all she wanted him to do, was pop her fucking cherry already.
