Mardi Gras, then Ash Wednesday, what comes next?
"install new version of Linux Mint on the old computer Day" of course.
The old computer has been assigned the job of running Clementine (a music box program) and also streaming concerts from PBS or YouTube. Not hard work, but should be able to handle that.
Clementine allows volume control, fast forward, and song selection from an Android, so I can be upstairs and change the music.
The new version of Mint 20.1 messed up "grub" the program that boots the operating system. I had to re-install grub after the boot up failed miserably. Fortunately, others have lived with the problem before. The computer can still boot to Windows, if I ask it to... but Linux is fine for now.
And yesterday was snowy... today is sleety. Happy LinuxDay.
