LJ again? Why not!
Looks like I will have to bring LJ back into my daily routine. Maybe even pay Photobucket a bit for photos... or (gasp) pay LJ again... not sure.
I've retired and moved back to NJ.. yep, I'm 65 years old. Being a pastor was fun and interesting and creative and rewarding, but somehow the Trump years have brought out the dramatic, with pastors being the anxiety dump. I'm proud of the stuff I did at the three congregations I led. Each of them grew in some way, and I believe that they will be better prepared for the next four years in our country.
So I'm glad to have reached Medi care age.. and be back "HOME" I now only have to pay one set of gas/water/electric and can work on fixing up my landscaping! The one down side is that I have no interest in preaching classes or centering retreats.. been there, done that. That means I lose track of the minister friends I have. Maybe I'll help out local ministers somehow.
I almost want to have a little lit sign at the end of the driveway that says HOME.
Part of what retirement was supposed to be was for me to find local friends and be social 7 days a week.... Isolation is keeping me alive, but Zoom is providing some contact.
Still looking for love... got any?
