so in reflection of 2009, I some how ended up reflecting, or probably more specifically, comparing the passing year to 2008 - which was an amazing year for me. 2009 definitely wasn't as fun, 2008 was the year I went out to cali with my family, my first year of CISS summer camp, and going to new york with my boys - and that was just the summer. school was clicking for me in terms of grades and just actual personal learning, and arguably the best part was that i was unemployed for a lot of that year. I got to just sort of enjoy life y'know!
2009 in contrast was a lot of work. I can't honestly say I recall much of what happened in the first 2 months, but by march i worked my first internship in the film industry for General Purpose Pictures, it was ridiculous hard work - but a great learning experience. shortly after i got through exams to finish up my third year, then i got hired at Roots, my first retail job and then summer rolled around and i was back at CISS camp. a nice vacation to south Carolina in the middle of the year was great - but then school rolled around again and between work and practicum (and finding an internship for my last semester) i was grinding it out and the weeks flew by.
so whew! that was my year in a paragraph. and that's not even including the personal shananigans that took place in October. yeah it was a lot of work, but i learned a lot, and I also got to re-connect with a lot of old people from my past i think, and that was nice.
That said im looking forward to a 2010 year that is more of a balance between 2008 and 2009, i need a few more good memories like the ones i made in 08 before i seriously start thinking about focusing on a career.
P.S. 2009 was also the year that I first met/saw celebrities up close. the list includes, Bill Murray, Megan Fox, Michael Caine, Drake, and ... I'm forgetting somehow but I'm sleepy - sorry person.
EDIT: just realized it was Chris Bosh. wow sad face.
