Share with us a list of five times you've gotten in trouble-- and tell us whether it was really your fault or not each time.
It's really hard thinking of times I've gotten in trouble, mostly because I just don't. But I did manage to think of a couple.
The first of course was the time I accidentally stole bread. That was all my fault but I was also seven or so. It was one of the weeks where we didn't have that much money for food. I wanted to help my mother out and I saw 'fat free bread' well all my childhood mind processed was the word 'free'. So I took it. My mother got so mad and made me return it, though the shop owner was nice about it and let me keep it anyway. He gave us a free loaf every time we went there after that when we actually went there. It wasn't really local and my mom always felt bad about that but he was nice about it.
One time in school I was in trouble for fighting. But it wasn't my fault, not completely. I was trying to break up a fight and got punched and well, my first reaction was to punch back. I can't help it I was raised in Brooklyn! It probably was my fault, deep down inside because I knew it wasn't right to punch someone, but I couldn't help myself someone punched me! I didn't get in trouble for that one, because like I said it wasn't really my fault, but I still felt bad about it.
Another time I've been in trouble which wasn't my fault at all was when this woman we used to clean houses for accused me of stealing some sort of necklace. She was just looking to blame someone and get some sort of pay out. It didn't work for her but it still sucked being blamed for something you didn't do. Especially when you have to file a police report and everything!
The last two were also both my fault. The first one was the only time I've ever been in trouble by the law. I got nicked on 'public exposure' because I really had to pee and if you've ever gone drinking in New York City there's no place you can find a bathroom in time. I was with Mike and he was supposed to be on look out but got distracted and I got busted. I had to watch this video on alcoholism and stuff. But it was better then paying the fine they wanted me too. That was all on me because I shouldn't have been drunk. That was also the last time I ever got that drunk in public. Now if I plan on getting shitty I stay home.
The very last one, well, I don't really like talking about it. Let's just say it's the reason I don't 'hook-up' with people. And it was all my fault because I shouldn't have been so weak willed. I'll never let it happen again now.
