Fuck high voltage or under-rated electronics....
Hey there world, it is now 120 in the afternoon, on...thursday. I have to be at work at 630. tonight will make for a good night. My buddy and I have been up since we got off work and settled in our rooms (9am) writing reports and looking through folders about our circuits...fun... just explaining why i am still up
the main point for this entry is to let people out there know that I am fine...and the elections went better than planned, so I am here ;)
On a different note, I have successfully fried 2 pieces of electronics in this foreign country. First I plugged my favorite alarm clock in a 220 volt outlet. It didnt like that so much. I plugged it in, it blinks 12, i look at it a minute later, it says 5....that bitch was counting fast...not really, but it did start smoking. that was awesome. and of course i was supposed to know that this U.S. plugged out power strip was bumped up an extra 110 volts. silly me. my lap top can handle this voltage just fine. and my double A batteries were bad to my camera....WHOP...better charge them up. Take that bad boy and plug it in where my laptop was, and the light on the charger stayed on for maybe a minute. I imagine it was a painful death for the charger, but it did go quick...
