Here's something I found today, an old 'biography' from a fansite for Tom. It's written by Tom in 2003, listing his favourite things:
Favorite Film(s): La Haine/ Platoon/ Big Lebowski/ Princess Bride/ Dog Day Afternoon/ Time Bandits/ Full Metal Jacket/ Irreversable/ Bringing out the dead/One flew over the cuckoos nest...Peter o'toole SIR LaRRy, Anything with Gary Oldman Ed Harris or Anthony Hopkins....Actually this is really hard there are soooo many films I like so many....Alex Winters 'Fever'/ Silence of the... For some reason Mr Hollands Opus made me cry and so did uhm Meet Joe Black? Doesn't mean i like them.' I don't get it either.../ The Piano/Man bites dog/ Amelie/ Amadeus was good/ Dracula without keanu I'm afraid..sorry mate, I like johnny Depp, I think he is a very versatile actor actually, so is Brad Pitt, for Good looking men, They can really have it.. But I prefer the Willem Dafoes, tom Berengers/ Harrison Fords/ Gene Hackmans/ Oh Sir Ian Mckellen.s Vincent Cassell!!!! and Monica ..They have IT for me as well as being quite attractive to boot, excuse me I'm getting into a character at the moment...There are too many actors and films I like to name them all. Sorry, I can't answer this question succinctly, or without sounding like a complete nob I'm afraid...Everything: I love B movies too. Infact I steal a lot of my styles from late night TV. High Brows don't seem to watch it, or expect me retro sampling B-movie performances in their movies or in their theatres let alone to see it turn up dutifully disguised in a cinema retro sampling B-movie actors...haha reiterated by mR Eth ... juss kiddin' I work hard you know.
Favorite Television Show(s): Erm THE SHEILD, POIROT, MISS MARPLE, love Forensic science and Police/ War documentaries/ Murders etc for character studies/ not morbid fascination I can assure you, though there is a certain je ne sais quoi to the dark and gritty side of humanity which is attractive, but ultimately best left alone...I don't care what you say I've tried to embrace it repeatedly for years , no joy or tremendous success in that dept yet I'm afraid...somewhere between Common sense and cowardice, I walk.
Favorite Type of Music: Oh Too many too too many, You'll catch me playing anything from Nas 50ct Black Twang to Mozart Mahler Wagner and Shubert/ Hip Hop/ Love RAgga. Anything dirty sexy and raw or street, that defines true emotion, but my ear lends itself favourably to certain sounds or singles not whole albums. Requiem and chapel music/ Ballet/ Opera/ jazz/ Blues/ Chillis white stripes/ Maroon Five/ I'm afraid to say got Jlo and Timberlake in there you know how it is, whatever really. Not Christina not britney thankyou, Beyonce yes. Portishead,I like some korn funnily enough some slipknot Limp B, metallica and the stones, john lennon, not Oasis not my cup of tea though i still know some of the words? so what does that make me? they are alright, but they ain't the beatles as I'm sure I'm not Sir Lawrence JIMI HENDRIX is Bad ass ....anything I love Music. My favourite tune of all time " Ave Maria" Shubert, I'll sample that onto a Phatt and dirty new york bass line or a London Drum and bass sound or have it straight up thank you very much...I'll listen to anything but I love street sexy tunes of all shapes and sizes, and that which have in my opinion raw class, If I don't like it it's coming off...Even Krs has to come off the heat sometimes I like it quiet after all the noise.. Oh Frank Sinatra, Nina , Ella, Fats, Billie H, Nat, Wilson Pickett, Marvin too much again.
Favorite Book(s): Anthony Lloyd "My War Gone By"... to name one book cause their are plenty, can't read enough, love reportage Don Mcullen's "indecent behaviour"...."The Big Book"
Favorite PS2 Game(s): AhAh! GHOST RECON! Medal of Honour...First person shootem ups SOCOM NAVY SEalS...etc anything military, HITMAN2 was good too, And Boxing love boxing
Favorite Food(s): Cheese on toast/ roast beef and yorkshire puddings/ roast duck/ pork/ crackling/ Chinese/ American hot pizza/ Lobster/ d**n I love food, Spinach with soy sauce and sesame/ love japanese food....I Love eating...Though I mostly forget to. I should go eat something as it goes...
Favorite Drink(s): Tea/ coffee/ Red Bull/ Fizzy water/ coke/ fruit
Favorite Website(s): THE TOM HARDY REALM. NET anything Dannie got, oh and the star wars kid after that or I checkout the news on www.lindapark.com. coz that's my girl. Sometimes i'll even check out Sir Ian Mckellen's just because there is no comparison...seeing as I'll never be as good an actor as he is I still have him by the shorts
He's just so wonderfully odd and really the definition of eclectic, isn't he? Reading this just makes me adore him even more. And the thing is, I can recognise myself so much in this. If I should answer these questions, I'd be all over the place too. I can recognise that feeling of having so much in your head, just bursting to get out, to be shared. And Tom's head seems to be amazingly busy.
Also, I'm so terribly amused by his writing style. It's absolutely hilarious and quite unique... :)
