Darling!
I would like to count the number of times the word 'darling' has been used so far in Inception fic. My bet is currently on 9846826428 times. (Btw, Eames never uses any other pet names in the film, does he? That's all fanon, isn't it? I can only recall 'darling' and 'stick-in-the-mud'.)
Anyway, I realised today, as I was walking home from work, listening to my dearest iPod, that the soundtrack to Eames' life has got to be the song 'Darling, Darling' by Mano Negra. Or perhaps it's what's ringing in Arthur's ear after a day on the job? A day where Eames has been particularly adoringannoying.
It's perfect, it's partly in French, and consists mostly of the words darling, repeated infinitely. A train is also mentioned. A song obviously MADE for Eames & Arthur, no? I love it. *g*
So, Tom Hardy's dreams of doing a romantic comedy with charming people in cardigans are coming true. This is good news. It's also good news that it's with Chris Pine - I may not be a fan as such, but he's pretty cute. The really bad news, though, is Reese Witherspoon. Just looking at that picture and this. Could they be anymore mismatched? She's so ... polished. I don't like her. I have a feeling I'll have trouble imagining ANY love between their two characters. ::sigh::
