All about angels

It's finally beautiful summer here! Oh how we've all longed for that. :)

I haven't had time to read hardly any Big Bang stories, I've read but one. Then again, I've got until next year to catch up. *g*

Instead, I've just finished reading Elizabeth Knox new novel, The Angel's Cut, the 'sequel' to The Vintner's Luck. And I love this book too, it's very enchanting. Like in SPN, I find I don't mind stories about angels and hell and whatnot, as long as it's not about beliefs, or faith, if you will. It's just about mythology. She's pretty concrete in this book, about Hell and Heaven and God and about Xas - the angel - but I think it works. Xas is a fascinating character, and very loveable.

I also love Kings more and more; I'm just so enamoured with its poetic quality, the rather Shakespearian way they talk, the mysterious powers that seem to be around. I'm so sad this show is being cast aside, it deserves a much better fate.

Meanwhile, True Blood is gorier than ever. Gosh. Still awesome, though. Everything seems sweaty and creepy and dark.

Now, I'm off to see Morrissey! Yay!
